PolicyMaker Enters the FRIEND ZONE

this about sums it up

I got a text message Wednesday evening from Policymaker, asking me to go see Wolverine. Of course I said, “Yes,” because I love Hugh Jackman as an actor and Wolverine as a character. I hadn’t spoken much to Policymaker since he visited me at my home nearly two weeks ago. That visit was okay, but I think our personalities sort of clash. We don’t mesh well. I know he’s a great guy, but he simply isn’t compatible with me. As a friend Im fine. But there just aren’t any sparks when Im around him either. So not only do I think we wouldn’t get along well, I also don’t find myself physically attracted. So, in the friend zone he goes. The date itself was pleasant. We watched the movie and it was good. He was talking during the movie, and that was a bit of a turnoff, but I know he was just excited because he loves the Wolverine just as much, if not more, than I do. When we walked back to my car, we had The Talk. He said it himself. He said, “You’re just not into me. I can tell.” I said, “No. I mean, you’re awesome, and handsome. You’re a great guy.” He said, “Yeah, but just not what you want.” I could no longer deny it. It was true. I just wasn’t into him. He’s great at talking and bouncing ideas off of, but romantically, Im not there. My mom always told me that I never want the safe ones. But that isn’t entirely true. I want safe, with an edge. (Hahahaha) We still have plans to go-cart together soon. And maybe do another event at the Spy Museum. I think part of my issue with him is the fact that he takes everything way too seriously. Like this blog even. He thinks I compare dates. I told him, each date gets its own entry and I don’t compare. And I just find him a little corny. Just ain't my type. *Shrugs… I do hope he finds the woman for him. He is sweet. Comments?

nothing wrong with knowing what u like and don't like. from what I know, seen and read, you are not shallow and just want a good fit. Not looking for perfection but perfect for you is great. GL

If only they all went that well. Usually it's a bit more dramatic than that - at least from the guy's perspective.

Thanks Arthur. That's exactly it!

Well, I'd rather do it this way than just stop communication like some people do. I don't like leaving people in the dark. Hunky teacher guy is about to get the boot too.
